I had considered trying this, can you tell me more? Is this your first time? Are there washing instructions/limitations? How long does it last? Thank you!

Honestly it makes my hair so manageable and soft I can't lie, I actually wait for it to run out a bit so I can go get it done again!

Hello! I've gotten it done maybe 6-7 times over several years. This is my second time with this particular person. It takes 2-3 hours to do and in terms of washing instructions/limitations it genuinely depends on where you get it done. Where I used to get it done before they said to not wash for 3 days and not swim or gym. This time she said do whatever. Only real instruction is to wash your hair with salt free, sulfate free shampoo, which is something I would recommend anyways even without this treatment.

Thanks for replying! I struggle with my hair texture (it's mixed) so I'm considering a keratin treatment to help it all stay smooth.

My main advice is to please research well before you settle on someone. This involves a lot of chemicals so this is the kind of thing you don't want to get a discount on (though at least in the UK there is a lot of supply so you can get a good deal, I dunno where you're based). As long as you go to a trusted salon, it'll be worth it. A lot of people are scared cos of the heat involved however when I get this done I don't touch a straightener (actually as I type this I realise the last time I did use one was over a year ago!). If you need any other info feel free to ask :)

Wow, not using a straightener sounds amazing. Some of my hair is super curly, most of it is straight-ish, so I lightly straighten every day. Does your hair hold a curl if you try to curl it? I really appreciate you answering all my questions!

Ah, if you straighten it everyday then I would definitely recommend this. As you can see with my before photo I used to use a straightener quite often to smooth my hair out/make it manageable. Curls don't really suit me so post treatment I've never really tried. Give me a week for my hair to settle in and I'll try a curl and see what happens and let you know. I doubt it'll hold cos my hair is quite heavy so even non-treated hair for me never held curls well

I have super curly, fine hair and this treatment made it so I could air dry my hair with minimal product and it looked great.
